Inge loves Angelina Ballerina. Here she is dressed up as her favorite little mouse doing an arabesque as her brother looks lovingly (as always!) on. Inge also has a darling plie that would have made my ballet teacher horrified because she insisted that we tuck our derriers under rather than stick them out. But part of the beauty of being 3 is that you do not have to worry about that sort of thing.
Here is a traditional New Orleans King Cake that I made for Mardi Gras. It was filled with almond paste and really yummy!
Inge enjoyed pushing Bjorn in the Brio cart. Now Bjorn can push it on his own. He is so close to walking.
In reviewing these pictures I can hardly believe how much Bjorn has grown. Here he is as the proverbial "sack of potatoes."
And here is that cute little "sack of potatoes" from behind. Aren't his feet darling!
Our library hosted a "Fancy Nancy" tea party just before Inge's birthday. The staff read Fancy Nancy stories and the children were invited to make crowns and tiaras just like Fancy Nancy. Inge and Bjorn enjoyed their tiara and crown, respectively.
Inge "holding" Bjorn. This was generally a short-lived experiment as you can see because Inge and Bjorn would fall sideways laughing after only a couple of seconds of "holding."
Inge's "Frog and Toad" birthday cake. I wish that the picture was not sideways, but I can't figure out how to right it. We had a fun birthday party with her friends. We made kite invitations, searched for Toad's lost button and wrote letters to someone who "never receives any mail." Inge had a fabulous time with her friends and still talks about eating in the living room, which was apparently quite a novel experience! Nana and Papa and Grandma came to her birthday party, which made it extra special.
Inge with her birthday jewels.
Inge enjoyed a trip to Mobius (our children's museum) on her birthday.
Bjorn had fun, too.
Inge got a "Dirt King" trike for her birthday. It is huge but it was the only one we could find that was made in the USA. She and all of her siblings will be able to use it because it is VERY durable.

I so enjoyed all your posts. I can't believe how much Bjorn has grown. We hope that we can get together this year.
